Clara City:
Clara City offers an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, winter outdoor hockey rink, ice skating rink, lighted softball/baseball diamond, sand volleyball court and two park shelters.

The City Library has a nice variety of books, Internet access, and network with regional resources.

The city has a 90 bed skilled nursing facility and a 30 apartment senior housing unit.

Prairie Fest, the annual town celebration, is held in July.

The Clara City Community Center is available to the community for family celebrations, reunions and other group gatherings. Call the City Office to make arrangements for rental.

Briggs & Motley Spring Craft Show is the first weekend in April and the Fall Craft Show is the first weekend in November.

Community organizations are Lions Club, American Legion Post #485 & Auxiliary, 4-H Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Jaycees, and Ministerial Association.

Granite Falls:
Granite Falls gives way to the scenic Minnesota River Valley to create an outdoor playground that is great for all seasons.

The Western Fest Rodeo is the annual celebration held in June.

The Kilowatt Community Center offers an indoor pool, recreation area, banquet rooms, racquetball courts and exercise room. For more information call 320-564-3127.

Vegas style gambling at Prairie's Edge Casino is a few miles south of Granite Falls.

Take a ride to the Upper Sioux Agency State Park, stroll through the area’s wooded parks, or tour a museum. Every road leads to a new adventure.

Downtown Granite Falls offers a pleasant river setting with a large selection of retail stores.

Community organizations are Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, American Legion & Auxiliary, VFW Post, CURE (Clean Up Our River Environment) and Lady Slipper Garden Club.

Lake Lillian:
Lake Lillian is located on the south shore of Lake Lillian, just north of the State Hwy #7 and Kandiyohi Co Rd #8 intersection in Kandiyohi County.

Kandiyohi County Parks #1 and #2 are approximately five miles from Lake Lillian on Big Kandiyohi Lake and offer camping, boating, boat rental, swimming beaches, and Park stores.

Lake Lillian has two City Parks that include a playground, basketball court, horseshoes, ball field and picnic shelter. The Antique Power Collectors Show and Swap Meet is held each June in the South Park.

Lake Lillian Fun Days are celebrated on the first weekend in August each year.

Lake Lillian also has a Harvest Festival held each October and includes locally homegrown produce, homemade crafts plus a bake sale and lunch.

In March of 2002, the MN Rural Water Association voted Lake Lillian as having the “Best Tasting Drinking Water” in Minnesota.

Maynard:
Maynard is a typical small town community .

The City Lions Park offers a picnic area and shelter area.

The Maynard Community Center is available to the community for family celebrations, reunions and other group gatherings. Call the City Office to make arrangements for rental.

The local library is attached to the Community Center and has a large variety of books, Internet access, and network with regional resources.

Every year, the Lions organize the annual 4th of July Celebration. The day is topped off with fireworks at dusk.

Community organizations are Lions Club, Senior Citizens, American Legion & Auxiliary, and Garden Club.
